A Well-Trained Dog Isn’t a Luxury—It’s a Necessity
Living with a dog should be one of life’s greatest rewards—not a daily source of frustration. But without structure and clear communication, even the most loyal dog can become a handful. That’s where real training makes all the difference.
We specialize in helping everyday dog owners develop calm, respectful, and obedient companions—starting with our proven 10-lesson program.
Most people think that Obedience commands like “sit’, “down” or “come” are their first priority. Down the road, it can be fun to show your friends that your dog knows how to sit, or go to his place, but if you’re using those commands to avoid problems like jumping or door bolting, that’s a different issue. So, the first thing we must understand in hiring a dog trainer is the following question: are we seeking behavioral modifications, are we seeking obedience commands, or are simply seeking a better-behaved dog overall?
My goal is to help my clients socialize their dogs and show the dog how they should interpret objects and scenarios. The first thing I do when I get a dog is imprint them on me. Imprinting is the process by which your dog learns the behaviors of a parent, other dogs, humans or other beings, and gains some of his basic socialization skills. I give them structure structure, structure! I show him where he sleeps, where he eats, where he goes to the bathroom, how we walk, etc.
Once the dog starts following me around without the leash and starts to anticipate and be connected to me, then I can start challenging him more. I might introduce him to a new dog, teach him to relax when a biker goes by, show him how to relax around kids, etc.
Our training isn’t about tricks or quick fixes. It’s about building lasting results through repetition, clarity, and calm leadership. We make the animal truly understand what we want from him or her, and how to follow a structured behaviors around the home and we establish a communication system with the animal that we then teach our human client to follow. The biggest goal in teaching animals behaviors is to teach their owner how to work effectively with their animal!
Dogs don’t learn everything in one leap—they learn in small, progressive steps. Behaviors are introduced, reinforced, and then linked together into reliable routines. Our 10-lesson format gives you a structured, progressive system that meets your dog where they are—and helps them grow.
Most owners start with one 10-lesson pack and find that it builds a solid foundation. From there, more advanced skills, public control, and off-leash reliability can be added over time. Good training isn’t rushed—it’s built.
If you’ve got the desire but not the time, our board-and-train program is the ideal solution. Your dog stays with us for immersive training, receiving daily structure, exercise, and focused work. When they come home, you’ll be given the tools to maintain what’s been taught.
Board-and-train is especially useful for:
- Busy professionals
- Owners of strong-willed or energetic breeds
- Households where consistency has been hard to maintain
You get the same structured progression—just without having to be there for every step. Please keep in mind that we will need to do skill transfer training after a board-and-train session, and the first week of a board-and-train is to build a relationship of trust with the animal and win his/her trust. That’s why we don’t rush things by pushing the maximum results in the least amount of time. We develop a relationship with your pet, treating him as we treat one of our dogs: a family member.
Over the past two decades, we’ve trained thousands of dogs—from rowdy puppies to dominant working breeds. Our head trainer, Alex, brings real-world experience from IGP sport and a background shaped by learning from the best trainers in the world.
We don’t make empty promises. We offer clear guidance, consistent results, and a balanced training method that gets dogs working with—not against—you.
